This weekend was the Tour of KC. I did the Cat 4/5 race on Saturday. It was about a 20 mile circuit race, 7 laps at cliff drive. I finished 44 out of 63. I really hoped to do a lot better, but oh well. There was a pretty tough climb. My wife and kids were there so that was pretty nice.
Sunday was the crit race. My first except for practices. I thought it went pretty well. I was in the top 3 for most of the race. I probably stayed up front a little too much, but I was feeling good. On the last lap I didn't insure my position very well and ended up with 10th place out of 30 or so starters. Next time I'll know better.
